PERSONAL
The friends of Rev. J. D. McArthur and family will regret to hear that Mrs McArthur has had to enter a private hospital to undergo an operation which is to take place this morning. Mr W. C. Collier has been appointed honorary correspondent of the Royal Humane Society for the Manawatu district, vice Mr. J. R. Hardie, resigned. Mr. C. G. McGonagle, traffic inspector for railways, Wellington, is visiting Palmerston North. Mr. McGonagle is well-known to many residents of Palmerston North, having been a member of the staff of the locp.l station some years ago.
