JUDGE LUKIN ORDERS STRIKERS TO RETURN
Under 48 Hours Clause
MEN GIVEN TILL TO-DAY TO COMPLY WITH ORDER GAOL FOR DISOBEDIENCE. United Pres* Association—By Electri* Telegraph—Copyright. Received Thursday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, April 24. Judge Lukin, in a writ of mandamus to the timber strikers, orders them to return to work under the conditions of the Full Court’s order, which provides for a 48 hours’ week. If they disobey they will be cited again, and will become liable to fines of £IOO or three mouths in gaol. The men are given to Friday to comply with the order. Judge Lukin previously granted the application of the timber merchants for an injunction against tho timber strikers. The judge said tho facts of tho case were admitted and ho had no doubt there was strike against the award.
