MR. SNOWDEN UNREPENTANT. Unitod Press Association —By Electri# Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday 7 p.m. LONDON, April 20. Mr. P. Snowden, while speaking at Maidstone, said “Wednesday night's” hunt in the House of Commons gave little satisfaction to the Tonies. War debts settlements are not the least disgraceful incidents of tho government’s record. If a government entered into a contract which a succeeding government of different party would be expected to revoke, it was tho first government’s duty to consult tho party which might have ’to adhere to this agreement. This had never been done. In connection with debt settlements, he said: “No Labour government would dream of breaking such contractual arrangements, except by negotiation with the other parties concerned.” '
