Fine and Cold BUT BECOMING MILDER . - . Tho recent low pressure disturbance has now passed eastward of the Chatham Islands while a fairly intense anticyclone is moving on to New Zealand. The pressure is again falling in Eastern Au i ralia. South-west to south-east winds moderate to strong at first but decreasing gradually. Seas rather rough in open waters but moderating to the West Coast. Moderate to fresh but decreasing southerly winds and moderating seas in tho eastern Tasman. Showery on the east coast between Cook strait and East Cape but improving gradually. Elsewhere some scattered clearing showers at first but soon becoming fine. Cold temperatures with some inland frosts, but becoming milder to-morrow. Sun (to-day). Rises, 6.17 a.m.; sets, 5.51 p.m. To-morrow. Rises, 6.18 a.m.; sets, 5.49 p.m. Moon (to-day). Rises, 9.36 p.m.; sets, 1.5 p.m. To-morrow. Rises, 10.26 p.m.; sets, 1.58 p.m.
