AMANULLAH ARMED WITH RUSSIAN RIFLES
MARCHING ON KABUL. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday, 11 p.m. DELHI, March 31. Ex-King Ammanullah is marching on Kabul with 30,000 troops armed with Russian rifles and ammunition. Considerable fighting is proceeding between the rival forces. The rebel King is preparing to defend tho capital with a steadily decreasing force against Ammanullah. Another claimant to the throne is Prince Omar Khan, a member of the Afghan Royal family who escaped from detention at Allahabad recently. CALCUTTA, March 31. In Herat an unpopular Governor plus a nephew whom the Governor was planning to put in his place and a colonel who went to the rescue were assassinated by mutinous troops. The nephew was a supporter of Amanullah. Foreigners and Indians have been ordered to leave Herat.
