COUNTY BALL AT TOKOMARU
From Our Own Correspondent. The grand dance held at Tokomaru on Friday evening by the County council employees was a huge success, the school funds benefiting considerably The hall had been artistically decorated for the occasion. Excellent dance music was supplied by the Levin Maori de Luxe string orchostra, while extras were played by Miss Bree, Messrs Bayliss and Prentice. During tho evening Mr. R. Guy, chairman of tho school committee, in a neat littlo speech thanked the promoters for their generous effort and also the orchestra who gave their valuable services free. The douce of tho evening was the twilight confetti dance, when everyone joined whole-heartedly in tho fun. The lucky-spot waltz was won by Miss Joan Kelly and Mr. Moves. Mr. R. Broughton carried out the duty of M.C.
