STRIKERS RESORT TO ARSON AND VIOLENCE
FIRE IN TIMBER YARDS. United Press Association—By Elcctri# Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, March 25. An outbreak of fire which occurred at Eaton’s timber yards in North Sydney is thought to have been a deliberate attempt to destroy propert}’’. Mr. Corko, secretary of tho Timber Merchant’s association, said that he received warnings that Eaton’s yards at East wood, where the firo occurred last Wednesday, would be set on fire. There were further brutal assaults oi loyal timber workers during the weekend. William Banks was set upon bj a number of men at Glebe, knocked tc the roadway, kicked about tho head, and had several ribs broken.
