At tho Stadium Billy McAllister 8.6 defeated Tommy Griffiths (the New Zealander) 8.6 i on a technical knock out in the tenth of fifteen rounds. The New Zealander forced the fight over the early rounds, scoring with straight lefts to the face and short rights to McAllister’s body during in-fighting, while McAllister punished with rights to tho head. Tho New Zealander’s ducking, however, enabled him to evade much punishment. McAllister landed a heavy right to Griffith’s head in the seventh which made him groggy. He continued the punishment in the eighth and ninth and half way through the tenth McAllister dropped his opponent with a heavy left hook and right to the jaw. The rcfAecc saw Griffiths was in a bad way while delivering tho count and stopped tho bout, declaring McAllister the winner. POCOCK-BROADFOOT BOUT A DRAW. WESTPORT, Last Night. The 25-round professional bout be--tween Clarence Pocock (Christchurch) and Jim Broadfoot (Auckland) went the full distance last evening and ended in a draw.
