RYE LIFEBOAT WILL BE MANNED
BY SONS OF DEAD HEROES. Sun Cable. Received Sunday, Midnight. LONDON, March 23. Despite the lifeboat disastor on November 1 it wiping out half of Rye Harbour's manhood, the gallant little village is eager to man the new lifeboat for which there aro seventeen volunteers, including youngsters who aro relatives of tho drowned. Tho volunteers opine that they must bo ready to help their brother seamen to maintain tho reputation of the Rye Harbour lifeboat which is able to put out when the Dungeness and Hastings lifeboats cannot. Tho women-folk say: “Our fathers and grandfathers went on errands of mercy and we suppose our husbands and sons must continue."
