Australia’s first Grand Prix. a 200 miles road race for motor cars ? wias held to-day at Phillip Island on a track of six and a quarter miles, 31 laps, in which 12 British, ten French and ono Italian car competed. Many exciting incidents resulted. A. Terdich, driving a Bugatti, car, was first. W. Lowes, in a Lombard was second and R. Brenrlcy, in a G.P. Bugatti, was third. The winner’s time was three hours 48 minutes 21 seconds.
