PIG WEIGHTS

To tiie Editor. Sir. —I would like the opportunity oi thanking your correspondent, Mr. Chin, for his explanation re pig weights. I noto that an extra farthing ig given by the company or companies in the belief that such is to their advantage. If this is Mr. Chin’s considered opinion, would he be in favour of (1), outside independent check on weights, the cost of same to be borne by seller; (2), farthing per lb. extra for all farmers who took advantage of “hook weights.” I, am, etc., L. POUPARD. Glen Oroua, March 11, ’29.
