MANAWATU POULTRY ASSOCIATION MEETS.

Mr J. T. Brice, president, was in the chair at a meeting of the Manawatu Poultry Association's executive held last evening. Lady McLean wrote returning thanks for a motion of sympathy extended to her and her family in the death Of her husband, the lato Sir R. D. D. McLean. The Wellington Bantam Club wrote soliciting support for a proposed show of bantams, provided it eventuated. Mr Will B. McKenzie, of Wellington, stated per letter that ho had forwarded under separate cover a Cup for competition in tho Oriental Prill Pigeons class. —It was unanimously decided to express appreciation by letter to tho donor. It was decided to eommunicato with tho Specialist Clubs in Palmerston North soliciting entries from them at the next show. It was decided to liavo the classes for dubbed birds in utility Minorca and Leghorn sections dolctcd. A committee was sot up to canvass for special prizes for tho forthcoming show. Mr W. Young was accorded a vote of thanks for tho donation of a silver rose bowl for the best Minorca pullet. The trophy is to be .won three times, not necessarily in succession. A recommendation was sent forward to tho North Island Poultry Association that the name of Mr R. D. Whyte be added to the list of judges for fancy and utility sections.
