A British United press message from the Vatican city states that when the Pope leaves the Vatican for the first time a salute of fifty guns will ho fired. The authorities also announce that all must kneel when the Pope approaches. Nobody will be allowed to approach the Pope unless he first beekons, and his orders must be received in a kneeling posture. Italian soldiers on the march must halt and salute when ten paces distant. If they carry rifles they must present arras. The rank and file are being trained in preparation of the Pope’s forthcoming visit to the Laterna and his visit to Monte Cassino in July. PAPAL COINAGE. Received Wednesday, 9.20 p.m. ROME, March 13. The Vatican Government has officially decided to issue Papal coins on the decimal system of four kinds—gold, silver, nickle and copper. Tho imago of the Pope is to bo on tho obverse and tho Papal arms, inscription, aato of Pontificate on the reverse. MALTA’S DIFFICULTIES. Received Wednesday 9.0 p.m. LONDON, March 13. Tho Malta correspondent of the Times says the Pope has created an Aposaltic Delegation to Malta under the aegis of Monsignor Robinson, Bishop of Cyrene, to investigate tho recent difficulties. Sir Gerald Strikland, in tho course of a statement in Parliament, said tho Roman Catholics could only continue the fervent observance of their religion in Malta when they had ready appeal to Romo if the bishops and other ecclesiastics made mistakes. No Premier or minister could carry out his work unless that door was kept widely open.
