HUSBAND OF 17

LONDON YOUTH SUED FOR DESERTION “You must have kidnapped him,” said Superintendent Hannon at Blackpool to a girl of 21, who said of her 17-years-old husband: “I married him when he was an errand boy.” Alice Bloom, 21, summoned her husband, Amos Joseph Bloom, aged 17, now living with his mother at Golders Green, London, for desertion. She said her husband left her 18 weeks earlier. A letter was read from the husband, in which he said he was trying to do his best for his wife, and had provided a home for her and their baby. He also said that his wife removed all the furniture from the room in which they lived and left him to sleep on the floor. The Bench adjourned the- case to see if a reconciliation could be effected.
