OBITUARY

ME PETEE SINCLAIR. The late Mr. Peter Sinclair, of Feilding, whose death occurred on Monday was born at Wick, Caithness, Scotland, and when a boy he sailed with his parents for Geelong, Victoria. He arrived in New Zealand in 1873 and for many years was employed in the Lands and Survey department. He was clerk and engineer to the Pohangina County council for about seven years and later clerk and engineer to the Waimarino County council. Mr Sinclair had been a resident of Feilding for about 10 years. He leaves a widow and a family of three sons and two daughters to mourn his loss. His eldest son predeceased him about two months ago. The sons are Mr David A. Sinclair, of Koputaroa, Mr Peter Sinclair, of Greymouth, and Mr Bonald Sinclair, of Ohura. The daughters are Mrs M. Holman, of Feilding, and Miss A. Sinclair, of Wellington North. The funeral takes place this afternoon.
