MANAWATU CHAMPION OP CHAMPIONS. Palmerston club’s completed selection, from which their representative rink will be decided by play, is as follows. All games are to be played by March 9. Nash plays Crump, Fraser plays Bary, winners play off.
FOXTON TAKES MANSON AND BARR CUP.
The Palmerston North holders of tho Manson and Barr cup went down to the Pith challenge on Saturday, when Foxton succeeded in beating them by 24 to 10. The rinks were: —Palmerston North—Kerslake, Stephenson, Brown, J. A. Nash (s); Foxton —Hcycs, Ross, Nye, Thomson (s). Playing at Takaro greens, a Palmerston North ink comprising Gemmell, Wandcn, Howley, Gallichan (s) beat Taner, Alcock, Littlejohn, Morgan (s) by 16 to 13. OROUA BEATS NORTHERN. Six rinks of bowlers from tho Oroua club visited the Northern greens on Saturday and after an cnjoyablo series of games, defeated the Palmerston North club by 130 points to 116. Scores were as follow, Oroua rinks being •placed first in each case:— Hicks, Desmond, Simpson, Aitken (s) beat Kensington, Lynch, Palmer, Larcomb (s) 24 —21. Pagan, Shrimp-ton, Oakley, Ingram (s) beat ,Newton, Robinson, Teale, Bryan (s). 24 —20. Kellow, Jarrott, Smith, Mason (s) beat Saunders, Handley, Kirk, McKee (s) 23—14. Edelstcn, Goodbeherc, Entwistle (McLean (s) lost to Dickell, Stewart, Rumble, S. Parsons (s) 16 —26. Fowler, Pearce, Spence, Brewer (s) lost to O’Reilly, Thurtle, Eliott, Stuart (67 15—26.
