Wins for Public Service and Old Boys

Competition games were continued in Fcilding on Saturday under ideal conditions. In the Fcilding v. Public Service game, the former with a deficit of seven runs commenced its second innings but could only score 60, the only double scorers being Donaldson 17 and Carmine 12. Stevens 6 for 23 and McDonald 4 for 28 secured the bowling honours for Public Service. Requiring 60 runs for a 3-point win Public service secured these with the loss of 5 wickets, chief scorers being Lange 20 and Hight 19. Detailed scores are as follow: — FEILDING. Old Boys secured a 3-point win against Colyton. The result of the previous Saturday’s play saw Old Boys score 184 to which Colyton replied with 84. Old Boys batted again for 107 the chief scorers being S. Bramwell and J. Dewo scoring 59 not out and 39 respectively.
