Services of the Methodist Church for 'Feilding and district arc advertised on this page. Miss Betty Harford and Miss ratty Sporle will represent the Feilding Swimming Club at the Dannc\irk<i swimming sports this week-end. The l'olowing Feilding candidates from the Feilding Technical School obtained senior free places at the annual examination last year:—William Cocker, Grace Edgelev, Hugh Gilchrist, Stafford Harford and Percy Wilkinson. Douglas B. Phillips, eldest son of Dr. and Mrs. Phillips, of Feilding and a pupil of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School, heads New Zealand in the University National scholarship, ha\ing gained 1765 marks, beating the second boy (A. J. Birtles, lyhangarei High School) by one mark.
