QUEEN’S SYMPATHY IN FOCH’S ILLNESS

Marshal Pooh has received a telegram in which Queen Mary in the friendliest language, expresses the hope for his recovery and says if the King were well enough ho would have telegraphed personally. The Queen ’3 message is very highly appreciated in France. Foeh’s doctors state in war-time Janguago “The enemy has been slightly repulsed along the wholo line.” The Daily Express Paris correspondent states that there is much anxiety despite this reassuring bulletin. Foch is a fervent Roman Catholic and asked to see a priest, who paid him a short visit but later refused to make a statement.
