NEARLY ALL CLASSES SELL WELL Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At Addington market the entries were much larger to-day in all sections. There was a hot sale for all classes of store sheep, and fat cattle also sold well. Fat sheep showed a drop of 2s to 4s a head on last week when values were exceptional, but ewes arc still above export rates. Store sheep: A fair-sized entry of lambs forming the bulk of rape lambs sold exceptionally (well as did ewes and lambs aid ‘ young ewes. Rape lambs made to 27s 6d .and two-tooth three-quarter bre’d ewes to 395. All classes showed an advance. Values were: Best rape lambs to 27s 6d, ordinary rape lambs 23s to 25s fid, best halfbred wether lambs 23s 6d to 25s fid, ordinary half-bred wether lambs 20s 6d to 235, Corriedalo wether lambs 23s fid to 24s 6d, best two-tooth threequarter bred ewes to 395, good twotooth three-quarter bred ewes to 34s 3d, ordinary four, six and eight-tooth three-quaTter bred ewes to 23s fid, best two-tooth crossbred ewes to 37s 9d; good four, six and eight-tooth crossbred ewes to 335, ordinary two-tooth half bred ewes to 30s 3d, ordinary four six and eight-tooth hjalfbred ewes 2Gs fid to 27s fid, aged and inferior halfbred ewes 35s to 18s, best half bred wethers 27s to 2Ss fid, ordinary halfbred wethers 25s to 26s fid, good ewes and lambs 23s to 24s fid, ordinary ewes and lambs ISs fid to 225, inferior ewes and lambs to-16s. Fat lambs: 1850 were penned. Good lambs sold at schedule prices, but light and unfinished of which there were a good few forward were scarcely so good as last week. Extra prime lambs to 36s lOd, prime 31s to 33s fid, medium 27s 9d to 30s fid, light 2fis to 27s fid. Fat sheep : A heavier entry, 1J races being forward with a drop of 3s 6d to 4s a head on iast week for ewes and up to 2s 9d on wethers. The drop brought values to about an export basi3. Values were: Extra prime wethers to 37s lOd, prime wethers 32s to 355, medium wethers 29s Gd to 31s 6d, light wethers 26s to 295, extra prime ewes to 35s 4d, prime ewes 27s Gd to 31s, medium 23s fid to 275, light ewes 20s Gd to 235, aged ewes 18s fid to 20s. Fat cattle: 530 were yarded, a heavy entry' following several smaller ones. There was a slight easing averaging 10s to 15s a head. Best beef made to 53s per lOOlbs, prime 49s to 525, heavy 40s to 445, good cow and medium heifer 42s to 4fis, medium cow 36s to 40s and rough down to 32s fid.
