CROSSBREDS PIRM. United Press Association—By EleotrU Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Jan. 15. At the opening wool sales to-day 7427 bales were sold, of which 6153 were Australian and 1022 New Zealand. Thero was a good attendance from all quarters, and a capital selection of Continental style and finer Merinos, with a small supply of sorts suitable for Yorkshire. Prices * were steady. Merinos generally were unchanged. Crossbreds evoked keen Continental competition, and prices were slightly in the sellers' favour. There wgto some withdrawals of shabby second-hand lots owing to the high limits.
