INJUNCTION TO COUNTY DELEGATES. A little time was spent by the Manawatu County Council last evening discussing tho Mauawsitu-Oroua River Board's flood protection scheme and the conference of local bodies interested to bo held shortly. Tho delegates asked for instructions. “Bring back all information you can without committing tho council,’’ stated the chairman (Cr. W. E. Barber). “Be non-committal, absolutely.’’ Cr. Boyce: Will wc support the application for a government subsidy? Cr. J. H. Pcrrctt: Bo very careful, now. Cr. Boyce: It is darned easy to fall in. The chairman: Get all the information you can and sit tight.
