DAIRY EXPORTS REVEAL 7½ PER CENT INCREASE

CHEESE OUTPUT IS SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Dairy Division grading figures for the five months ending December 1928 show an increase for butter of 5.3 per cent at 43,601 tons and for cheese, an increase of 12.7 per cent, at 39,601 tons, as compared with the corresponding period of the preceding season. Reduced to terms of butterfat equivalent, the grading of dairy produce for the five months show an increase of 7.41 per cent over gradings for the corresponding preceding season.
