The Countess Jellieoc wore pink satin and her sister, Lady Madden was in white satin at a party given by Lady Cory, who was lucky enough to got M. Paderewski to play for her guests. Lady Cory, dressed in bright rose pink taffeta and wonderful diamonds, arranged to have all but two wall lights extinguished during tho music, and it was in this soft radiance that her guests listened to the Moonlight Sonata and some beautifully played Chopin. M. Paderewski was Avarmly acclaimed by the audience.
