CONCERT AT KELVIN GROVE

One of the most enjoyable concerts held in Kelvin Grove -was staged by tho school children on Wednesday night, 19th December, in connection with the brealcing-up and annual prize-giving. Recalls were numerous and the children acted their parts -well, which speaks volumes for tho ability of the teachers. Miss Thompson and Miss O’Brien. After the concert the prizes were presented by the chairman (Mr. W. B. Hughes). Every child received a gift. Mr. E. Radomski provided the stage. The programme was as follows: Song, “It’s Better to Laugh,” school; recitation, “Mother’s Baby,” N. Neilson- song, “A Bouquet of Daisies,’’ juni’ors; song, “Jack and Jill,” seniors; dialogue, “Three Bears,’’ juniors; band, “Men of Harlech,’’ seniors; recitation, “Nan Nocabout,”'juniors; dialogue, “Highwayman,?’ seniors. Part 2: Song, “Japanese Teahouse,’’ seniors; song, “Bunnies,’’ everybody; recitation, “Highwayman,’’ J. Hart; song, “Soldiers,” juniors; dialogue, “Black Brothers,” seniors; song, “Good night,” girls
