BOOT SHOP WRECKED IN VIOLENT EXPLOSION

United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Jan. 2. A violent explosion, tho cause of which is not known, wrecked a boot shop in front of a picture theatre in the suburb of Earlwood early this morning. Fire broke out and the roadway was strewn with debris. The picture theatre was damaged., the walls being cracked. Other buildings nearby were also shaken. Firemen subdued the flames. OCCUPANT ARRESTED. Received Wednesday, 11.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 2, Following the explosion at Earlwood, Frank Massey, the occupier, was arrested- Two empty petrol tins were found in the ruins.
