Colyton
From Our Own Correspondent. On Saturday evening, a kitchen tea was given to Miss D. Stubbington by the members of tlie Colyton Anglican Church and the Colyton Cricket Club. The function, which was held iti the hall, was well attended, the greater part of the evening being spent in dancing. A large and varied selection of gifts made an imposing array when placed on view on a table on the stage, and were a. striking testimony to Miss Stubbington’s popularity in the district. Mr. A. Funston, in making the presentation, referred to Miss Stubbington’s association with Colyton. She had capably performed tho duties of church organist for the last live years, and had acted as accompanist to the Colyton Glee Club since its inception. Miss Stubbington had also bevn a willing worker in anything connected with tho social side of the district. ' On behalf of those present, the speaker wished Miss Stubbington every happiness in the future. Mr. Keed suitably responded on Miss Stubbington’s behalf. Mr. A.
