Salmon, secretary of the Palmerston North Rotary Club, returned home yesterday morning from Japan, where he had been attending the Rotary Conference at Tokio, To represent New Zealand at the international civil aeronautical convention in Washington next month, Mr H. R. Dix, of the Marlborough Aero Club and Captain N. H. Barlow, of the Air Force left by the Aorangi last night from Auckland, They will return nextMarch.
Mr. 0. Monrad, who has been conlined to his home for a lengthy period with illness, was accorded a vote of sympathy at last night’s meeting of fhc Palmerston North High School Board. Mr. T. B. Strong, Director of Education, is to be the chief speaker at die annual breaking-up ceremony of the Palmerston North Technical School on December 7.
