ACTION FRANCAISE SOCIETY PROSCRIBED
CARDINAL’S ORDER. ORGAN NOT ALLOWED TO BE SOLD QR READ. (“ Times ” Cable.) PARIS, Nov. 18. Cardinal Bubois, Archbishop of Paris, has issued an appeal to members, of the Action Francaiso Society residing in the diocese, explaining that instructions referring to marriages had been modified in order to prevent a repetition of recent scones in Paris churches, when members of the Action Francaiso were being married. Such marriages, ic future, would not be celebrated in the church or sacristy, but only at the bride’s house in the presence of the local curate or vicar. Members were not allowed to belong to Catholic societies, or to subscribe thereto. The Cardinal points out that the Action Francaiso newspaper continues to be sold at church doors'and he has ordered the clergy to inform their congregations at each mass that they arc forbidden to sell, buy, circulate or read the newspaper.
