ladies; hockey.. From Our Own Correspondent. A representative team of - Feilding lady hockey players visited Halcombe on Saturday afternoon to play. a representative team from Oroua. .The match took place on Mr W, B. Faulding’s property ,and was refereed by Mesrs. Herdman and Hobdey, of Feilding. The game was a well contested one ending in Feilding’s favour by two goals to One. The visitors were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea. This match ends the play for the season in Halcombe. Telephone Service. . ~ Owing to ah increased number of telephone subscribers; Halcombe is now deriving;; the advantages of longer hours. In placo of the usual 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. service, the hours are; now from 7 a.m. to-9 p.m. The new'order of things will be much appreciated by tho farming community.
