Sir Joseph Camxthers, official ropre-* sentative of the Australian Govern* ment at • the Cook celebrations at Hawaii, is a passenger by the Niagara. Concerning Samoa he said everything was very quiet. When he was there in June, he met Mr. S. S. Alton, the Administrator and had a talk wlta him. He seemed to be just the type of man now required to bring 'about a peaceful settlement of affairs.
