Makino
From Our Own Correspondent,
On Friday night the Makino road old pupils committee held another of its very popular dances in the school, this time in the form of a masque. Many of file dancers arrived wearing their masks causing much amusement. Visitors wore present from Fcilding, Waituna, Greatford and Dunolly and altogether'a very happy crowd gathered'to while away the hours with their favourite evening pastime. Twilight and streamer waltzes were danced, thecoloured lights blending with the very pretty frocks and making a merry scene A manicure set and some handkerchiefs were the trophies won respectively by Miss Lui Gibsono and Mr Hurst, of Fcilding, for the Monte Carlo waltz.
The music, as usual was supplied by Miss J. and W. Cummings, while Mcsdamos Eink and Simpson and Mr. Entwistlo contributed tho extras. Mr. M. Anderson carried out the duties of M.C., and after supper had been partaken of, dancing was continued until tho early hours of the morning.
