CASES AGAINST ARNOT AND GREEN ADJOURNED

Arthur James ■ Arnot, Australian manager of Babebck-Wilcox Ltd., apE eared before the Court charged with oing privy to certain matters connected with the alleged giving of a bribe in connection with the Bunnerong power house contract. Counsel for Arnot asked for ,a stay of proceedings on the ground that Arnot had been granted a certificate under the Secret Commissions’ Prohibition Act testifying that he told the truth and that such a certificate exempted witness from any criminal proceedings which may have been initiated against him. The Magistrate reserved decision until Tuesday next. The case against Alderman Green was. also adjourned till Tuesday.
