ALL SAINTS’ ANNUAL PARISH SOCIAL
CONTRACT LET FOB NEW ORGAN. A most enjoyable concert programme was given last- evening at All. faints’. Parish Hall, Palmerston North. , much enjoyed string quartette item was rendered by the Misses Gunter (2), Miss Carter, and Mr. Carter. Miss Dorothy Southey-Baker played with her usual artistry several numbers, all of which were doubly encored. Other items were given by Mr. Robb (songs), Miss Blockley - (songs), ■ and . a inale quartette, by Messrs Robb, , Teppett, Bryden and Knowles. S' ■; “The Dancing Doll’’ an amusing comedy, was staged* by, Miss Heather Wylie; and Messrs Carter and Bagnall. : Miss Noami Whalley, unfortunately was I! unable to .appear owing to. indisposition. •*.. . _;. ; ■ ! Mrs. J* .Carter and -Mrs Robb were the accbmpanistes. t During tho evening Mr. Bagnall announced, that the contract for the Church organ was being -given to Mr. George Croft, of\Auckland, at a price of £2227. -It was-to be a three-manual organ-with-25 stops, and has to -be finished by the Ist of December, 1929. A most-enjoyable supper was then partaken of and- dancing was commenced in. the Kindergarten ; school room to the strains of an efficient orchestra.
