LONDON TO EDINBURGH. LOUNGES AND PRIVATE CAES. LONDON, July 12. Two of the most luxurious trains in the 'world have taken up running on the London-Edinburgh section of the north-eastern railways. The Queen of Scots has all-steel coaches with fire-proof and sound-proof doors. A parlour-car with inlaid satinwood decorations, mahogany and ebony easy chairs, upholstered chintz and a Wilton carpet on the floor, is available to any passenger for a small fee.

Tho London-Midland and Scottish Company's Royal Scot has a lounge resembling a travelling club, with revolving easy chairs upholstered in crushed hide, and polished teak floor. The train has private dining rooms and a lady’s boudoir equipped with fulllength mirrors and a toilet table.
