YBSTEEDAY’S GAMES On the Showgrounds yesterday Central Old Boys A met Broadway and inflicted iho substantial defeat of 6 goals to nil under the whistles of Messrs Wilson and McLachlan.—The game was a fast one in which both sets of forwards showed to advantage. Old Boys owe their* victory to a better defence. The goal-getters were'Anderson (3), B. Hore (2) while a penalty goal was also awarded. Central Old Boys B lost to Palmerston by I goal to 5. The scorers were Stanbra (3), Davey and McClelland for the victors and J. Morgan for the losers. Mr Y. Tucker controlled the game. Phoenix who had a bye for the occasion, played a friendly game with a Feilding team but lost the match 2-4. Lundy scored both goals for the homo team and Groonibridge (2), Packer and Eodgers for the visitors. Mr. W. Scott was referee.
