QUESTION IN HOUSE. - r Times Special. l From Our Own Parliamentary Reporter. , V- £ WELLINGTON, Last Night. Some-matters concerning the Otaki hospital were- raised iu the House today.- ' Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki) asked tho Minister of Public Works, the" Hon. K. S. Williams, why tenders for tho additions to the Otaki hospital vfero not advertised for in Otaki and local builders thus given the opportunity of tend* drug, and whether a tender had yet Jjech Accepted for this urgently needed work, and when building operations Were tp'prooeedt - The Minister replied that tenders for ■the < additions- to the Otaki hospital were advertised for in all Wellington and Palmerston North .daily papers which circulate widely in the Otaki district.! It was therefore not. thought necessary to; advertise alsv .in tho .Otajd paper. As a matter of fact, a local tender , was. received showing that the. matter ‘ obtained publicity in the i district* ,>.ia ;/.v v;s r"- v^ ■"X 1 tender" had not yet'been accepted iiStisenlthol referred to withdrew hia tender when the Government was on the point of accepting it. It wad proposed to invito fresh tenders immediately.
