Field (Otaki) asked tho Minister of Public Works, the" Hon. K. S. Williams, why tenders for tho additions to the Otaki hospital vfero not advertised for in Otaki and local builders thus given the opportunity of tend* drug, and whether a tender had yet Jjech Accepted for this urgently needed work, and when building operations Were tp'prooeedt - The Minister replied that tenders for ■the < additions- to the Otaki hospital were advertised for in all Wellington and Palmerston North .daily papers which circulate widely in the Otaki district.! It was therefore not. thought necessary to; advertise alsv .in tho .Otajd paper.
