United Press Association—By Electrlt Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday 7.5 p.m. « BERLIN, July 23 A movement for an AustroGerman Union is rapidly gaining impetus. Statesmen of both countries have long paved the way through co-opera-tion in social and industrial questions, and unification of penal codes and railway regulations; but the movement has recently- gathered speed and weight. Both the Chancellor and President of the Reichstag belong to the Socialist Party, which especially favours an Austro-German Union because the Socialist element in Austria is powerful. Speeches at the Schubert festival in Vienna have produced a resounding echo in all political circles in Germany. Newspapers of every political complexion report the proceedings with pride. Even the Nationalist Allgemeino Zoituxig rejoices that the influence <d German music has caused thousands of Austro-Germans to avow allegiance tc a United Germany.
