The Secretary of the Post Office advises that telegrams for Mexico are no longer subject to censorship. ' On charges of stealing 30 sheep valued at £4B, the property of Jas. W. McNutt, farmer, of Waipukurau, and 100 valued at £IBO from Harry S. Hooper, owner of the Arlington station, George Perry, of Waipukurau, drover, appeared before Justices of the Peace at Waipukurau yesterday morning and was remanded till the 31st inst. Bail was allowed in £4OO and a similar amount in one or two sureties.

A few days ago a resident of St. John’s Hill, Wanganui, imagined that be heard a tui in his garden.
