BIG FIRE COMPLETELY’ DESTROYS DRURY HOTEL
NO WATEE' SUPPLY AVAILABLE. Phr Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. ' The Drury Hofei, owned by Messrs Hancock and Co., was completely gutted by fire at 10 p.m. on Sunday. The outbreak occurrel in the front of the lower story. There was nobody on the premises at the time, the licensee, Mr. Samuel Robertson, having gone to Auckland at one o’clock in the afternoon. No water supply was available. The origin of the fire is unknown. The hotel and outbuildings were insured for £4OOO.
