AUSTRALIAN TREATY WORKING INEQUITABLY
PROTEST FROM CANADA. Aust. Press Assn.—United Service. OTTAWA, July 22. A report from Oshawa, Ontario, states that the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. John Martin, Ontario, addressing a picnic on Saturday at which tho Dominion ’s Conservative Leader, Mr. Bennett, also spoke, criticised the Australian treaty, saying it worked grave injustice to Canada. Saskatchewan had played a prominent part in protesting against the treaty. It could no longer be said that Ontario or the East were forcing the issue.
