Miss N. Cowper, has returned to Wanganui, from a holiday spent in Dannevirkc. ■
Mrs. W. D. Carson, president of the Palmerston North branch of the W.D, F.U., and Mrs.- J.: Shaw, (Newbury), secretary, together with Mrs. Howell (Eaumai) left yesterday for Wellington to attend the annual conference.of the W.D.F.U. Of New Zealand. Lady Alice Fergusson is opening the conference which will last a week.
The Earl of Liverpool, for a long period Governor of New’Zealand, and the Countess of Liverpool, intend paying a visit to New Zealand next summer, and .will leave England about December. ' i Mrs. Benjamin, was a Wanganui visitor to Palmerston North during the week-end. - ■ Mrs. Vernon Hammond, of -Wanganui is staying in Palmerston North, Mrs. E. Cuthbertson, Wenganui, returned to her home last week from a visit to Palmerston North. Mrs. E. C. Bennett, and Miss Joan Bennett, have returned ■to Palmerston North from a trip to Wellington. Mrs. A. E. Mason, of Martinborough, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Berquist, To Puki. , Mrs. Berquist, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. Wood, of Palmerston North, Las returned to her home' in To Puki.
