Already the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, and Japanese commercial treaties have expired. \ Instancing the Chinese determination to. enforce' a revision this afternoon a Chinese Judge ordered from the Court an Italian Consular Deputy watching the appeal of' a Greek'sentenced to 15 years' for rubbery. . The Judge based his authority on the •expiration of the Smo-Italian treaty and informed* the deputy he was no longer an"’extraterritorial foreigner. - The announcement was received with dismay. It was generally believed China would allow the Italians to maintain their former status, ponding a revision ’ of the Sino : ltaliaM treaty.
