Davidson,,a textile machine manufacturer speaking at a’recent shareholders’ meeting, said there had been some very gloomy statements in tho newspapers regarding Russian trade, •but; -speaking from experience, ho could ‘say that their contracts with Russia were working out satisfactorily. All the 'obligations were being fully and honourably met. Their experience of their Russian customers was that they were ; most exact in their finance, and very punctual in their payments. Similar testimony was given by A. W. Golightly, a director of the Cooperative Wholesale Society, in a recent- speech to co-operators on tho subject of co-opcraticc trade with Russia.
