HUGE WATER-POWER FOUND
VICTORIA, B.C. Discovery of a gigantic water power, which may be * capable of developing 1,009,000 horsepower, is announced by the British Columbia Department of Lands. A reserve has been placed on the river until experts, through an investigation of two or three years, can determine its electrical possibilities. If tho Chilco 1. Ter can produce 1,900,000 horsepower, as engineers believe, it will alone provide this province with as much power as it uses altogether now.
