On Monday evening the men of Stanway motored to’ Halcombe whore a most enjoyable time was spent with the Cribbage Club of that town, the; play resulting in 32 games to 28 in Stanway ’s favour. Supper was afterwards provided by the hosts of the evening, and done full justice to by the visitors, before setting out on the return jour-’ ney to Stanway. ,’ T ; ■ : Hockey.' 1 •’ - The local team-will not bo playing a match next. Saturday, it being >Stanway’s turn for a bye. . Personal. , Stanley, the littld son of Mr and Mrs Young, who. for some time has been in indifferent health, is, at present in.-the; Palmerston North Hospital awaiting an operation for appendicitis, which js expected will take place in; about three weeks’ time. > , 1
