THE RECEIPTS. In reporting to the general commit' tee of the Mnnawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association at their meeting yesterday, upon the activities of the entertainment committee during the recent. Winter Show, Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., indicated that the new entertainment hall, lately completed should be increasingly popular for dancing purposes. Por the various entertainments held in the hall during the Show, tho receipts were as follows; £ a. d.
“On Thursday night the hall had to be used for the annual smoke concert. Expenses in connection, with the vari- 1 ous entertainments amounted to £32. The national dancing was not well attended, and the committee will have to consider the advisability of including same in next year's programme. The hall 1 will become popular for local dancing, and already several bookings have taken place. “I would i strongly* recommend the general committee to consider the ad* visability of holding an annual ball in connection with tho Association, ’* tho report concludes.
