On Saturday George Pennell, aged 32, was arrested on a charge of using a butcher’s shop at the corner of Shat street and Edendale road, Auckland, as a common gaming house. Accused was admitted to bail in one sum of £SO. On Saturday at Auckland the Marine Court exonerated the ...aster of the Thomas Bryan for the wreck of the trawler on the Coromondel Peninsular, on June 10. The court returned the master’s certificate and made no order regarding costs. The court found that the wreck was caused by the failure or the helmsman and lookout to keep the on her proper course and call tho master when the weather became thick.
