Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd., report holding a successful clearing sale on account of Mrs. R. L. Gale, Colyton on the 11th inst. There was a large attendance of buyers and the herd of 58 cows met with ’ keen demand, averaging $lO/5/-, Wo quote:— Best cows, £ll, £ll/10/-, £l2, £l2/10/-, £l3, £l4, £l4/10/-, £ls, £ls/5/- to £ls/10/-; later calvers, £B, £B/15/-, £9, £9/10/- to £10; others, £5, £6/10/-, to £7; aged gelding, £l7; sows to farrow, £3, £3/10/- to £5; boar, £2/7/6; porkers, 32/6; hayrake, £ll/10/-; dray, £ls/10/-; mower, £l4. Other sundries sold well at market values.
