SOCIAL CLUB
On Saturday evening last in the Oddfellows 1 Hall, Cuba street, the Social Club held its usual week-end monster euchre tourney when there were 144 players present. At the conclusion of 24 keenly contested games the following were declared the prize-winners:— Ladies, Mrs. Thompson (quarter ton of coal), Mrs. B. Jones (701 b bag sugar), Mrs. Gold (51b box tea), Mrs. Mabey (251 b bag flour), Mrs. Barrett (bag coal), Mrs. Zimmerman (lib. tea), Mrs. Wild (fire shovel). Men: Mr. Bassett (quarter ton coal), Mr. Gulliver (701 b. bag sugar), Mr. Trask (51b. boxtea), Mr. Butherford (251 b. bag flour), j Mr. Blumont (bag coal), Mr. Healy (lib. tea). Mr. Kcclcy (fire shovel). The following players, in addition to those whose names have been already published, and others to be decided, will .participate in the play olf for the gold n stlet watch, to be decided on July 7: Mr. Fletcher, Mr. Gilbert, Mr. A. BY hards. Mr. E. Hog". Mr. Prior, Mr. M'Cormack, Mrs. W. Wright, and Mrs. C. Wright, all with a score of 114. The highest score registered was 194 out of a total qf 24 games played.
